1973 Karmann Ghia
Volkswagan Karmann Ghia, 1973 restored body with excellent paint, some small chips, etc. but paint is 8/9 out of 10. Underside had all new floor panels welded in, NO rust through anywhere. Mechanically this car is great, it is the rare auto stickshift model so no clutch, three speed semi-automatic. Engine was replaced several years ago with a brand new German short block and new carburetor (cost over $4,000 with professional install). Interior and top are new, as per restoration, all seat covers, door panels, carpet, top, etc all OEM quality replacements. All brakes, brake lines, tires, wheels, etc are all excellent with total less than 2,000 miles since replacement. Car needs a few details, one side mirror (drivers) on order, and a few rubber moldings, clips, etc. All the major work is done and the car is turn-key. This car gets more looks and comments than any classic car I have driven. Over $15K invested by owner and was always garaged out of the weather. Just tuned up by a VW mechanic and have receipts for all recent work and parts. If you are looking for a nice solid Ghia for a great price come see and drive this one. Available by appointment only please and price is firm.
